AB244 ATM Compliance
ATM Security Lighting Conformance & Upgrades. LTS provides ATM and Night Depository Light Level readings for exterior lighting conformance. Based on State Mandated ATM Lighting Codes, it is important to perform annual readings to prove maintained luminance at banking locations. If unsatisfactory results are found, LTS will review these results with the appropriate corporate security manager. We will design upgrades and discuss recommendations for necessary adjustments to the existing lighting system to achieve optimal performance. LTS will re-read the location once the necessary work has been preformed to ensure that the location has exceeded the applicable ATM lighting statute. Following a passing grade, LTS will then submit a Certificate of Conformance along with the light level report to retain in your records.

All ATMs operating during hours of darkness must be adequately lighted. The hours of darkness are defined as the period beginning 30 minutes after sunset and ending 30 minutes before sunrise. The law contains specific lighting standards measured in foot-candle power at specified distances from the ATM

AB244 requires ATM owners to meet lighting, landscaping and location standards at ATM locations. The law also formalizes the requirement to consider the incidence of crimes occurring in the immediate neighborhood where the ATM is located.
